Crochet Pattern for Bunny Face Applique

White Oval

  • First Round 
    • make 12 chain crochet stitches 
    • then in first stitch which comes after current loop on the crochet hook make 5 double crochet stitches in that first stitch (place a marker on first double crochet stitch out of five)
    • in 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 stitches make 1 double crochet stitch in each single stitch using only 1 loop of each stitch
    • then in 12th stitch make 5 double crochet stitches in that 12th stitch, (place a marker on last double crochet stitch out of five)
    • turn you crochet work upside down
    • in 11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2 stitches , make 1 double crochet stitch in each single stitch using only 1 loop of each stitch
    • joint first and last stitch with slip stitch
  • Second Round
    • make 2 chain crochet stitches
    • then make 2 double crochet stitches in each single stitch from five double crochet stitches which were made in first stitch then from stitch 2 to stitch 11 and last five double crochet stitches which were made in last stitch, from one marker to other, using back loop of each stitch,
    • then smaller number of stitches that come between the 2 marker , stitches (11,10,9) make 1 double crochet stitch in each single stitch, skip stitch (8,7,6, 5), then from stitch (4,3,2) make 1 double crochet stitch
    • joint first double crochet stitch and last double crochet stitch with slip stitch
  • Third and Fourth round
    • make 2 chain crochet stitches
    • then make 1 double crochet stitch in 1 stitch and next stitch make 2 double crochet stitch go on repeating this for whole round
    • joint first double crochet stitch and last double crochet stitch with slip stitch
  • Fifth Round
    • count all stitches in fourth round
    • divide stitches in 4 equal parts and place markers accordingly
    • Part 1
      •  make 2 double crochet stitches in each single stitch
    • Part 2
      • count all stitches in part 2
      • divide them into 3 equal parts
      • Part 1
        • make 2 half double crochet stitches in each stitch
      • Part 2
        • make 2 double crochet stitches in each stitch (chin of bunny)
      • Part 3
        • make 2 half double crochet stitches in each stitch
    • Part 3
      • make 2 double crochet stitches in each single stitch
    • Part 4
      • make 1 half double crochet stitch in each single stitch
Brown part
  • fold the white part and place a marker on middle stitch at the head side (not on the chin side of bunny)
  • count 12 stitches left side of marker and place a marker again
  • count 12 stitches right side of marker and place a marker again
  • remove middle marker
  • insert crochet hook in the stitch were 1st marker is placed grab brown yarn and pull through and make a single crochet stitch
  • next stitch make a half double crochet stitch
  • from 3rd stitch to 22nd stitch make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using back loop of each stitch 
  • 23rd stitch make a half double crochet stitch
  • 24th stitch make a single crochet stitch
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your crochet work
  • make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using front loop of each stitch 
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your crochet work
  • make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using back loop of each stitch
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your crochet work
  • make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using front loop of each stitch 
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your crochet work
  • make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using back loop of each stitch 
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your crochet work
  • skip 1st stitch and join 2nd and third stitch with 1 double crochet stitch (to merge 2 stitches into 1 stitch--yarn over insert crochet hook from 2nd stitch and take it out from 3rd stitch grab the yarn and pull through and complete your double crochet stitch) 
  •  make 1 double crochet stitch in each stitch using front loop of each stitch
  • join 21st and 22nd stitch with 1 double crochet stitch (to merge 2 stitches into 1 stitch--yarn over insert crochet hook from 2nd stitch and take it out from 3rd stitch grab the yarn and pull through and complete your double crochet stitch) 
  • make 2 chain crochet stitches , skip 23rd stitch , join second chain crochet stitch with 24th stitch with slip stitch
