Crochet Pattern for St. Patrick's Day Hat

Down Long Green Part

• Make a slip knot
• make 45 chain crochet stitches
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 half double crochet stitch each stitch, using 1 loop of each stitch till last stitch
• done with the last stitch make 2 chain crochet  stitches 
• turn your crochet work 
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 half double crochet stitch each stitch using front loop of each stitch till last stitch
• done with the last stitch make 2 chain crochet  stitches 
• turn your crochet work 
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 half double crochet stitch each stitch using back loop of each stitch till last stitch

Black Part

• skip starting 10 stitches and ending 10 stitches of green crochet work, please place markers
  
  
• insert your crochet hook in 11th stitch pull black yarn and make 2 chain crochet stitches
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using back loop of each stitch till next marker placed
• done till the stitch where we placed the marker make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
  
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using front loop of each stitch till last stitch
• done with last stitch make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
• Starting from first stitch itself start making 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using back loop of each stitch till last stitch

Upper Green Part

• keep 2 loops on your crochet hook in last stitch pull green yarn and make 2 chain crochet stitches
• make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using front loop of stitch, then from 2nd stitch to second last stitch make 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using front loop of each stitch, make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using front loop of stitch
  
• done till the stitch where make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
• make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using back loop of stitch, then from 2nd stitch to second last stitch make 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using back loop of each stitch, make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using back loop of each stitch
• done with last stitch make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
• make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using front loop of stitch, then from 2nd stitch to second last stitch make 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using front loop of each stitch, make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using front loop of stitch
• done with last stitch make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
• make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using back loop of stitch, then from 2nd stitch to second last stitch make 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using back loop of each stitch, make 2 double crochet stitches in first stitch itself using back loop of each stitch
• done with last stitch make 2 chain crochet stitches and turn your work
  
• skip first stitch go on making 1 double crochet stitch each stitch using front loop of each stitch, till 3rd last stitch, skip second last stitch  and make 2 chain crochet stitch join second chain crochet stitch with last stitch with slip stitch

Yellow Part

• Make a slip knot
• make 24 chain crochet stitches join first and last stitch with slip stitch
• Starting from 1st stitch itself make 1-1-1-1-1 half double crochet stitch in next 5 stitches 
• in 6th stitch make 3 double crochet stitches in that 1 stitch itself
• then make 1-1-1-1-1 half double crochet stitch in next 5 stitches
• in 12th stitch make 3 double crochet stitches in that 1 stitch itself
• then make 1-1-1-1-1 half double crochet stitch in next 5 stitches
• in 18th stitch make 3 double crochet stitches in that 1 stitch itself
• then make 1-1-1-1-1 half double crochet stitch in next 5 stitches
  
• in 24th stitch make 3 double crochet stitches in that 1 stitch itself
• join first and last stitch with slip stitch
• make 2 single crochet stitch in each stitch using back loop of each stitch
• done with last stitch, 
• join first and last stitch with slip stitch
• last round make 1 slip stitch in each single stitch all around
